Community Am Brit is Here to Serve You

While we are not  a synagogue, we are a community of individuals and families who join together in Jewish oriented activities:

Jewish Learning Program

This group is for children ages 10-13.  The focus of this program is to foster and grow a Jewish identity in older children.  The curriculum covers Jewish holidays, customs, traditions, and The Jewish bible (Torah as well as other sections).  The children learn to read Hebrew and practice common Hebrew prayers relevant to Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation.  This program is very interactive and includes class discussion and exchange of ideas.  This program creates meaningful and memorable lessons about Jewish Identity and how Jewish history and traditions are relevant to our modern life as Reform Jews. Class meets approximately 2 times per month during the school year.

JLP Kids

This group is for children ages 6-9.   The focus of the program is to foster a Jewish Identity in young children. The curriculum covers Jewish holidays, customs, traditions, and selected Torah stories. The children also learn Hebrew letters and begin to become familiar with common Hebrew prayers.  Crafts, snacks, and games make this program engaging and fun.  Class meets once per month during the school year.

Rabbi Lenny has a New Book Published

The book is titled Modern Midrashim. He has taken 54 ethical concepts, one from each portion of the bible and created short stories using modern settings.  As each story is short and unique, you can read comfortably at your own pace and within your own time frame.  Some of these stories will make you cry, some will make you laugh, and some will make you think.  You will find them delightful and worth your time.  They do not preach, or sermonize or advocate a specific religious perspective.  Morality is universal.  These stories mesh those moralities with our own world.

For more information or to order the book please visit the web site:
